Dolly Wink Eyeshadow Palette 04 Shiny Brown

Dolly Wink Eyeshadow Palette 04 Shiny Brown Review

Hello~ My first makeup review this year will be about a product of my favorite japanese brand Dolly Wink! Dolly Wink Eyeshadow Palette 04! I tried even more products from Japan since I went there last summer and I didn’t even use everything yet, so now it’s time to tell something about my favorites!

This will be my first post about my Koji/Dolly Wink haul and it’s about the new eyeshadow palette! I got the Dolly Wink Eyeshadow Palette 04 Shiny Brown and 05 Silver Grey at Shibuya109 and I always recommend the eyeshadows of Tsubasa Masuwakas range for a cute eyemakeup because they are not too dark, not too shiny (even though the name includes shiny..later.) and always easy to blend. Also, the colors usually fit every skin type and hair color. But let’s see the details!

The eyeshadow case looks similar to the old ones. Also the same applicator is included.

The palettes are available in 04 Shiny Brown (left) and 05 Silver Grey (right)

Made in Japan hehe.

So here is a close up of 04:

A golden beige color for a light base or highlights, a brown beige color for fading, a shiny brown to contour and a matte black color to deepen and lining. Or something like that :D The name of this palette is “Shiny Brown” it includes a matte black eyeshadow, too. I think the brown ones aren’t too shiny, too. I usually don’t like too shiny eyeshadows, since it makes my eyes look like fish eyes if I use too much. Also my eyes look red and my dark circles appear even darker. But this “shiny” brown is just right. I really like the amount of “shiny” in this palette.

Koji Dolly Wink Eyeshadow Palette 04 Review:

What I love:

  • The Colors – Always matching and gentle colors for a cute eyemakeup
  • The Quality – high pigmented and longlasting eyeshadows
  • The Price – I guess it’s okay to spend, I guess I paid around 14~15€, the money for this eyeshadow palette, since there are 4 different shades included and the eyeshadows last for longer than half a year with daily use.

What I hate:

Actually nothing.. But it bothers me that it’s really expensive if you are buying it online.. Some shops are selling it for more than 25€!! Please be careful and look for other shops if you have to pay more than 20€. I recommend to buy it via ebay from japanese shops.

As you may know I am a huge fan of Tsubasas doll-like makeup looks^^ Sadly I don’t really look like any of these cute gyaru dolls if I try to do the makeup like them, I guess my eyes are way too european haha…

Here’s my POPTEEN inspired look:

Still I hope I could help you finding a new good and not too expensive eyeshadow (^_^)

Hope to see you again for the next review! byebye~

Canmake Lip Tint Syrup 01

Canmake Lip Tint Syrup 01 Review for you!

Hello! Long time no see! I guess many of you guys have forgotten about this place here…. but still, my love for makeup will never fade (and I already paid next years webspace fee lol) O(≧∇≦)O

I finally opened and used some of my makeup products I brought here from my Japan trip, and well, there are some I really have to introduce to you! One of them is of one of the most famous drugstore makeup brands I guess, Canmake!

Many asked me where I bought it, I got it at a store in Shibuya 109.. I can’t remember the name, I’m sorry… I bought it in #01, a really nice and decent peachy pink! A really really cute color in my opinion! But see yourself:

The applicator is a typical lip gloss applicator and the texture is smooth but not sticky.

Canmake Lip Tint Syrup

After applicating, my lips aren’t sticky and the tint isn’t drying out. The color is pretty decent and for light day makeup only. It gives additional cuteness to my makeup!

Here some before – after pictures:

What I love:

  • The Color – Cute peachy pink!
  • The Comfort – not sticky like a lip gloss but still glossy like one.
  • The Price – I can’t remember how much I paid for it.. But it wasn’t too expensive since it’s a drugstore brand.

What I hate:

  • Not long-lasting – Not comparable to real Lip Tints, the Syrup Tint fades away easily after drinking or eating something.

I’d like to try other colors too, since I really love the result of the Nr 01. The Canmake Lip Tint Syrup creates cute lips with glossy shine, perfect to give some cuteness to your everyday makeup.

This was my look of that day:

That’s it for today! It’s sunday and in the middle of midterms, so I should do something productive… Enjoy your weekend minna-san! See you soon!

Missha Dolly Eye Princess Volume Mascara

Missha Dolly Eye Princess Volume Mascara is my new favourite for everyday!

With their german online shop Missha finally made it happen that girls from germany could order Missha products online from germany and a while ago they also opended their first offline shop!

Sadly I can’t go there but I ordered some products from their website and one of them was the MISSHA The Style Viewer 270 Dolly Eye Mascara (Princess Volume)!

Missha is well known for their BB Cream (I posted a review a long time ago) but I was interested in some other kind of makeup so I decided to order this cute looking mascara, since I needed one.

The mascara comes with a volumizing brush, it’s tip is a bit thinner, you can reach the small lashes in the inner corner, too and create doll like eyes. It’s a non-waterproof type and can be removed easily with makeup remover, but doesn’t immediately smudge if you have contact with water or have teary eyes. I think that’s a pretty good point.

I really like the volumizing effect, because the lashes are not drowning in mascara after one layer and sticking together. I took some photos before and after applying the mascara:

and here’s the result AFTER applying the Missha Dolly Eye Princess Volume Mascara

The layer seems a bit thick but keep in mind that I took a photo of just my eyes^^ and to be honest I applied in a little hurry… bit with some effort the result will be really beautiful!! I swear! :3

The Missha Dolly Eye Princess Volume Mascara:

What I love:

  • The Effect – (realistic) volume for your lashes
  • The Comfort – no crumbles, not hard as stone
  • The Price – 9,90€ (without shipping) is a quite reasonable price
  • The Brush – Big, volumizing part and thin tip for the smaller lashes
  • Not-Waterproof-but-also-not-non-resistant – if you know what I mean haha

What I hate:

Nothing, I will buy it again. xD

The mascara reminds a little of the Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara. But somehow I wasn’t that disappointed of the “volumizing” effect as I was when I bought the Lancôme Mascara. I think the Volume is quite similar to the lancome one, but I paid 2/3 of the price for it.. This defenitely my pick for everyday makeup!

I will enjoy my birthday with some cake and coffee and what will you do today? ^-^

Geo Angel Green

Geo Angel Green Review today~

Even though the weather is so nice and I have plenty of time to write reviews and do makeup, I feel like just doing nothing and be bored eating the whole day..

I bought so many new products in Japan that I actually have to write.. But first I have to introduce my current favorite pair of lenses to you! The Geo Angel Green! I guess they are pretty popular when in comes to circle lenses and now I know why!

Everytime I wore green circle lenses I got the most compliments. I guess brown eyes don’t suit me? Haha

The pattern of the Geo Angel Green is a clear green, tiles like print with a thick black circle.

Geo Angel Green

I always recommend to just wear circle lenses, if you’re not tired and your eyes don’t feel dry. Otherwise it’s just natural that the lenses itches in your eye. Also dont wear circle lenses more than 7 hours, or they will get too dry and won’t feel comfortable anymore. While running around in Shibuya, I wore them much longer than 7 hours, but they didn’t feel too dry. I guess the reason for this is also the high humidity haha. Their water content is arounf 38-40%.

I think these lenses are very beautiful. I like how the color looks like on my eyes.

Geo Angel Green

Even though the black circle it thicker and bolder than other lenses, my eyes don’t look too big. Even lighter makeup without heavy eyeliner goes great with it. Green lenses are always a good choice if you have light eyes like me. The color melts with the green and can’t be seen immediately in the daylight.

The Geo Angel Green:

What I love:

  • The Color – Nice green color with a bold black circle.
  • The Effect – gently enlarging the eyes with a 14.2mm diameter.
  • The Price – Best get for the price!
  • The Comfort – Under good circumstances they feel very comfortable for a long time.

What I hate:

actually nothing.

As I said before, they are my current favorite lenses to wear. I guess because it’s summer, I’m going for lighter colors and so I do with my lenses. I think I will wear them to university too, since they aren’t too bold with light makeup.

Here’s my look with the Geo Angel Green:

Geo Holicat Barbie Hazel

Geo Holicat Barbie Hazel Review for you!

It’s been a while already again! I successfully spend all my money in Tokyo during my holiday together wit my best friend and my sister and I am back with a new circle lens review!

I don’t know if anyone would be interested in a post about my trip in Tokyo?

One thing I loved about Tokyo is the fact that you’re not the only one running around with circle lenses.. Sometimes if I am wearing lenses in Germany people look at me like if I was an alien.. ? Whatever..

Just now I realized, that I gained 2 kg…

I will start another diet tomorrow I guess… haha.. But back to business!

This time I will review the Geo Holicat Barbie Hazel which a wanted to try for a very long time! Finally I got them from yesstyle.com.

The big difference to my other lenses is that they are monthly contact lenses and have to be disposed after one month with good care. They also were a bit more expensive than the other annual lenses, it took me some time to decide wether to buy them or not. I thought I will have to wear them a lot after opening the package, I was worried that I don’t like the color or they would be uncomfortable.

Geo Holicat Barbie Hazel

The package is also different from annual contacts, it’s a plastic package instead of a glass container. That’s actually pretty good because I tend to cut myself… Contact junkies will know the pain.. I expected the lens to be a bit thinner or have a higher water content because they are monthly lenses, but there’s actually no difference to annual lenses.
The print is covering my natural eye color very good and I like the beige brown color. They have a black, not too thick circle that enlarges the eyes a bit. I was wondering why the color was called Barbie Hazel because Barbie has blue eyes… Let’s not care about it. I think they just don’t suit me, maybe not my style, but I think they would look very nice with darker glam rock or gyaru makeup.. Nothing for a cute doll look. But that’s just my opinion.

I wore them during my trip in Tokyo and in general I wore my lenses much longer than recommended. I wore them about 10 hours or more everyday, 3 hours longer than you should wear circle lenses. One day I also wore the Geo Holicat Barbie Hazel around 9 hours and I have to say they were really comfortable. Of course after 7 hours they got a bit dry, but except for that, no itchy feeling.

Let’s take a look at my résumé!

What I love:

  • The Coverage – the print covers my blue eyes perfectly
  • The Effect – gently enlarging the eyes with a 14.5mm Diameter
  • The Comfort – even after a long day!

What I hate:

  • The Color – I think the color doesn’t suit my skin tone.
  • The Price – a bit expensive for just one pair monthly lenses
  • The Disposal – after one month already..

If you want to create a dolly cute look, I wouldn’t recommend these lenses. If you want to create a darker gyaru glam look I think these are really good.

Here I am wearing the Geo Holicat Barbie Hazel:

I visited the Rilakkuma themed café at Tower Records in Shibuya! ^-^

If you want to know what I did during my stay in Tokyo, don’t hesitate and comment :)

Until next time! ^_~
